Disney just released its 2021 movie lineup, which includes some of this year’s delayed versions.
While 2020 hasn’t quite figured out how we all think it is, Disney is doing its best to keep up with a new website full of activities and entertainment, new Disney+ Releases (Hello, Frozen 2 and Onward!). And now, they give us something to look forward to with its 2021 movie lineup. Although some of the movies below were originally supposed to hit theaters this year, Disney has revamped her schedule. So hopefully we can all see these new movies in theaters as planned.
These Movies Include:
1. Raya and the Last Dragon
To be Out on March 12, 2021
This fantastic animated film follows Raya, a young warrior in Southeast Asia. Raya is in search of a metamorphosed water dragon named Sisu (voiced by Awkwafina).
To be out on May 28, 20201
Emma Stone is set to play the role of Cruella in this live pre-action film.
3. Jungle Cruise
To be Out on July 30, 2021
Based on the classic Disney World attraction. The film will stars Dwayne Johnson (who also produces the film), Emily Blunt and Jesse Plemons.
To be Out on October 15, 2021
Although not a Disney release, Disney will own the rights to this live shoot of the hit Broadway play. It features the original cast of the series and was filmed on stage at the Richard Rodgers Theater in New York.
5. Ron’s Gone Wrong
To be Out on February 26, 2021
Details on this one are scarce, but the film is about a world where children are best friends of walking, talking and digitally connected robots.
In addition to the titles above, there is an untitled Pixar animation slated for June 18, an untitled Disney live action slated for November 19, and an untitled Disney animated film to be released on November 24.
