When other people do you wrong, and you act personally, it can feel like you have been punched. I know it sounds a bit dramatic, but if you’re sensitive – or what some might call hypersensitive – you tend to take things pretty personally. You feel everything deeply, even if it has nothing to do with you. If people talk bad about you or behind your back, it’s enough to destroy your sense of eigenvalue. Sometimes people don’t even have to say something; you might just be able to interpret their negative facial expressions or body movements as something you did wrong, causing you to conjure up every possible thing you would have said or done to upset them.

It’s easy for other people to say, ‘Do not take it personally. It’s not about you. “And although the statement is usually true, it is difficult to keep in mind every time we encounter someone insane. To the sensitive person, it may seem as if only one robot can succeed in not being affected by others. And let’s be honest.

[bs-quote quote=”A mind at peace, a mind centered and not focused on harming others, is stronger than any physical force in the universe.” style=”style-17″ align=”left” author_name=”Wayne Dyer” author_job=”American philosopher” author_avatar=”https://www.withinnigeria.com/entertainment/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2021/02/view-magazine-quote-avatar.png”]

All of us have emotional triggers from the past. Certain actions that people take can cause us to become sensitive about specific things. For example, if your father was too critical and you were trying to be perfect to please him, someone pointing out that you made a mistake could make you feel more sensitive than someone else might feel under the same circumstances. If you do get upset about a situation, ask yourself, “Am I really upset about this situation, or is it one of my emotional triggers?” As the saying goes, “To become our best self, we must first be our worst self.” Allow yourself to make mistakes and understand that they are only part of the map that leads you to the person you have always wanted. Do not forget to forgive yourself if you act wrongly.

It is important to take responsibility for your actions, but do not punish yourself too much if someone disapproves of you. Accept that you are not perfect, and remember that there really are no mistakes when you learn from them.

If you set the right boundaries in your relationships, you can take things less personally. You set these boundaries by saying no to work, love, or activities that you do not want to do or that are emotionally detrimental to you. If you do too much to please others, you may feel too sensitive when you do something that upsets you.

If something upsets you or makes you feel uncomfortable, it is helpful to look at the situation from a more logical perspective: Did the situation demand the reaction you had, or do you lose it unnecessarily?

Sometimes our emotions demand that we be as sophisticated and educated as our logical brain. It is therefore very important to explore where your feelings come from, how you can react to them and how you can challenge and inspire the situation at the same time. If you inform yourself about your reactions, you can turn them into reasonable reactions in the future.

  • Remove them on all social media platforms
  • Delete their number
