Fast-paced Nollywood actress Peju Johnson has revealed how she got her latest car; A Toyota Venza.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, the interpreter said that in addition to acting, she was involved with other businesses and that she was not concerned about the opinions expressed about the source of the car.
She said: ‘I bought the car with my hard earned money. I actually paid for it in early 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it could only be shipped to Nigeria recently.
‘People are entitled to their opinions. They are free to say what they want. I have found that people who do not even know one are the ones who usually have the most to say about one. I’m used to it and no longer consider it a big deal.
‘Many actresses do more than just act. Many of them are influencers on social media and they have other businesses. When they are contracted to represent a brand, they are paid well for it. I am a more influential and have other businesses as well. I sell female articles. I do not know much about male actors, but I do not think many of them do ‘influencing work’. I have read many comments on this issue online, but I really do not know why this is so. I just gave my perspective. ”
Johnson also noted that she has heard that many actresses have joined the industry just to have fame and meet rich men in society. She said: ‘I heard a lot about it. We (actresses) have joined the industry for various reasons. It is true that many ladies join the industry for the reason you said. As for me, I have a passion for acting and that’s why I’m in the industry. ”
The actress also admitted that some of the best personalities got her number regularly and called her for relationships. She said: ‘I like it a lot. It got to the point where I issued a stern warning to the people close to me about it. I told them not to give anyone my number without my permission. “
Asked if her light skin was an advantage in her career, the busty actress said: ‘I’m not sure it has. There are many actresses who are not bright of skin but still perform well in their careers. There are men who prefer women with dark skin. I am naturally light-hearted; I did not change my skin for the sake of anyone. ”
Asked what her favorite part of her body is, Johnson said, “I like all body parts, but if I had to choose, I would say my face.”
The actress, who said she will begin her first film production in February this year, also noted that she would like to see a change in the way emerging actors in the industry are treated. She said: ‘I would like to see a change in the handling of emerging actors. They are often not paid, and I do not think it is good enough. ‘
