Top singer Davido refuted claims that he refused to communicate with Cynthia Morgan after asking her to call her for a feature through her Twitter account.
Previously, Morgan manager Muyiwa Babalola said she contacted Davido through phone calls and WhatsApp messages, but to no avail.
Babalola had said, “She (Morgan) wanted to meet David so that they could both deliberate on what kind of music would be perfect for both parties; she was up for whatever they both decided to be the best. She hoped they would meet, talk, and allow synergy that could spawn organic content.
“But then again, after several attempts to reach Davido directly, she thought it best to do a demonstration verse first, which she did and sent it to Davido’s camp. It’s been over three months now, we haven’t heard anything from Davido directly or from any of his representatives yet.
But speaking with The PUNCH on Saturday, Davido manager Asa Asika said Morgan’s claim was not true.
“She knows it’s not the truth. I know David sent her a song that she recorded. So how did David send him the song if they weren’t communicating? This is one of the songs we didn’t use for the album. She recorded her verse and sent it back to us. The song was recorded a few months ago.
Asika further revealed why the song was dropped by Davido, saying, “I actually don’t like his verse. This is actually one of the reasons we didn’t use the song. Personally, I don’t like the song and told David that I don’t like it.
