David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, a Nigerian singer and head of the record label, has announced on social media the cancellation of his very first DMW Live concert, due to take place on December 28th, due to Covid-19 cases in Lagos.
The highly anticipated concert was supposed to take place at the Eko Hotel & Suite Lagos, but was canceled due to fear of Covid-19.

According to OBO, it was best to cancel the event at this time. The safety and well-being of his fans are more important to him.

On his verified Instagram page, he wrote:
“After increasing and overwhelming concerns about the occurrence of Covid-19 cases in Lagos, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming ‘Davido Presents DMW Live In Concert’ which is due to take place on December 28th. The health and wellbeing of our fans, employees and artists are of the utmost importance. Although we are disappointed, we know this is the right thing to do.
“Thank you to everyone who bought tables. Your support has brought us much closer to the status “sold out” than expected in a very uncertain time! We look forward to bringing you a DMW live in concert in the near future. In the meantime, stay safe, hygienic, and socially distant. Thank you for your understanding and Merry Christmas in advance! ”
