The respected doctor made the statement while telling the story when he first moved abroad.
According to dr. Joe, when he first arrived in the UK, he could see a clear way to be successful in life, but he could not see the way as a young man in Nigeria.
His tweet is lazy;
When I first moved abroad, I did not watch any movie during the flight. My eyes were fixed on the flight display. As soon as we left Nigeria, I made the sign of the Cross. When we left Africa, I whispered “Alleluia! If this plane now makes an emergency landing, it will not be in sha in Africa! ”
When I first arrived in the UK, I thought ‘Is that all?’ However, I could see a clear way how I could own a car, buy a house, and build a career. I could not see that road as a young man in Nigeria. I do not see it affecting many young Nigerians right now.
In your youth, you should japa if you want, and get the opportunity to do so. Get the basics, like a car, a house, a 90-inch TV, and a bad sound system. Build your resume there and show them that you are a determined Naija person. If you want to come back later, it’s your choice.
