Didi Ekanem, a Nollywood actress, has said that co-actress Mercy Johnson got women in Nigeria to embrace their curviness.
The actress, in a series of posts posted on her Instastories Thursday, said she was bullied as a young girl for her curvy nature.
According to her, she is going to open a YouTube channel to tell her fans about how she was bullied in secondary school for being curvy. Didi said she prayed sternly to God that her curvy form would be removed from her.
“I’m going to open a YouTube channel so I can tell you about myself, my body, about how I was bullied in high school for being curvy.
“How I cried endlessly at night and prayed to God to empty my ridicule. Growing up as a young girl, it was tough, ”she wrote.
The actress added, “Mercy Johnson literally made curvy women in Nigeria embrace their beauty. The way she was so confident in her body was mind blowing and I remember always wanting to be like her. That’s how she became my favorite actress in Nigeria, not to mention her strong acting skills. “
