He was among five people killed by unknown gunmen who attacked motorcycles at the residence of local government chairman Katsina-Ala Alfred Avalumun Atera the day before Christmas.

Isa was laid to rest today, December 29, in his hometown. Friends and family have since taken to social media to mourn his passing.

Mbavough Elvis, a friend of the deceased, wrote:

‘So lacking in words and confused why it should be you now. The questions of WHY can go on and on, what is the point of going on and when no one is here to give answers, ”Mbavough Elvis wrote.

‘You come around the table for a seat / exchange of ideas and sharing wise thoughts. We talk about everything and I especially find wisdom in you. A young man, agile, energetic, lively and full of life. You have never lived for less.

‘The incredible news of your untimely death in the early hours of the morning plundered my whole being today and left me so numb. I have been waiting for your usual arrival tonight, but only to ensure that I will wait forever and that you will never come again as usual.

‘What a life that we can not tell the event of the next moment. What an empty smile that says I can not be with you again. My heart hurts. My mind is weak. My soul is boring.

‘Isa Major, the whole reflection of thoughts about you is characterized by that welcome smile of your face that is visible from all sides of your face, but we repay it tonight with a stream of TEARS. WHAT A LIFE WE LIVE, BULLETS FLY IN EVERY STREET AND CONNER AND WE DIE NO REASON.

“REST ON BROTHER. I WILL MISS YOU “.
