Nine people have been confirmed dead in Akosombo in highway crash

The accident in which Akosombo took place to the Theme Highway raised the death toll to nine (9).

According to dr. Alhassan Mousa, the hospital’s clinical care coordinator, said two of the victims – a girl and a young man admitted to the Akuse government hospital – died on Friday.

The horrific accident took place on New Year’s Eve when Sprinter Bus with registration number GN 8209-15 with 18 passengers from Madina to Ho crashed into a faulty stationary Kipper with registration GN 2064-14 on the Kpong stretch of Akosombo to Tema highway.
