Omogoriola Hassan, a well-known Nollywood actor and filmmaker, is now an Oba.
Omogoriola was crowned as the land of Oba of Uba, the kingdom of Imobi.
The actor, who was previously installed as an Oba elect of the country, was crowned after the oracle of the country confirmed him as the chosen one.
The actor is taking his official Instagram handle to share the news, along with a video recorded when the King makers of the country are conducting an Ifa consultation to determine if he is the chosen one.
“The office of a Ọba in Yoruba country is a hereditary office maintained by royal families,” he wrote.
He further explained, “But to become the one who is confirmed as Ọba, the high priest and the elders in the city would conduct an IFA consultation to confirm if they have the right person, because a lot of influence and money is used to to reach this holy office. ”
