Twitter has permanently suspended the account of US President Donald Trump from its platform.
Before the final ban on Friday, some lawmakers and celebrities had been calling on Twitter for years to ban Trump altogether.

Former first lady Michelle Obama tweeted on Thursday that the giants in Silicon Valley must stop making Trump’s “monstrous behavior” possible and expel him permanently.
The social media platform performed on Friday:
“After careful review of recent tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context surrounding them, we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement to violence,”
Twitter’s decision follows two tweets from Trump Friday afternoon that will ultimately be his last. The tweets are contrary to the company’s policy against glorifying violence, Twitter said, and ‘these two tweets should be read in the context of broader events in the country and the ways in which the president’s statements can be mobilized by different audiences be, among other things, to incite violence. , as well as in the context of the behavioral pattern of this report over the past few weeks. ”
The first tweet was about Trump’s supporters.

In the following, the president tweeted: “To everyone who asked for it, I am not going to go to the inauguration on January 20.”
Twitter said it was being “received by a number of its supporters as further confirmation that the election was not legal”.
Twitter said both of these tweets are in violation of the policy on glorifying violence.
