Actress Lizzy Anjorin sends Gov. Sanwo-olu a strong message hours after placing COVID-19 restrictions


Super rich serial actress and entrepreneur, Lizzy Anjorin, has begged Lagos state governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu not to shut down businesses that reveal poverty is more deadly than COVID-19.

The controversial actress made it known through her social media where she pleaded with the governor to consider the masses as things are very difficult for everyone despite their socio-economic class. Lizzy also said that if you impose another restriction on business activities, it could cause impending chaos.


She said; “Mr. Governor, I have a special message for you. You said, there is a second wave of coronavirus and all, I beg you in the name of all Almighty Allah, let people go and do theirs. Business. Please release them. Poverty is more deadly than coronavirus. People are hungry. I don’t know maybe you have neighbors, I don’t know if you get confused with people. But, Mr. Governor, things are difficult for everyone, both for the rich than for the middle class. Kemi Filani News recalls that the governor of the state of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reintroduced the restriction on the operations of churches and mosques in the state. Sanwo-Olu on Friday ordered centers of worship not to hold services beyond two hours, adding that no gatherings should exceed 50% of the venue’s maximum capacity. It has also banned carnivals and street parties in the state.

The statement said: “Concerts, carnivals and street parties are prohibited in the state of Lagos until further notice.
Night clubs have not yet been allowed to open. All nightclubs in Lagos must close immediately, until further notice.
“The federal government curfew from midnight to 4am remains in effect.
