Fantana’s mother allegedly has US citizenship, may lose her seat

According to the Ghanaian internet sensation, Fantana’s mother is losing her seat despite returning the Jomoro constituency to the NDC.

According to social media reports, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the mother of the popular singer Fantana, is losing her seat because she was a US citizen.

The Jomoro constituency’s MP is apparently said to have US citizenship.

Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey lost the election in 2016 but won it successfully in 2020 and it looks like she still has the documents of a US citizen.

The Instagram blogger identified as Cutie Juls made this revelation on his page.

He wrote, “Hmm Ghana … La fantana’s mother will obey the law.

‘From 7/12/2020 when she was elected as a Member of Parliament in a Ghanaian constituency, she was still a US citizen. You know it’s a crime under Ghana’s constitution, right? ‘
