It was a chaotic episode in the Ghanaian parliament yesterday, December 6, after the dissolution of the 7th parliament.
In a footage that went viral on social media, it was established that the struggle between NPP and NDC members was and centered on who is the majority side in parliament and who also delivers the next speaker of parliament.
However, it was gathered that although the NPP has the majority in parliament with 137 seats, the NDC has 136 seats.
Soldiers were eventually sent in to restore order in parliament.

Ghanaian actress and media personality Joselyn Dumas has condemned the recent controversy that took place in parliament during the swearing-in of the 8th parliament of the 4th republic.

Ghana is highly respected for our respect for the seat of government, democratic system and impeccable calm in parliament.
