The NDC National and Regional Managers are blamed for the current situation of the Assin North MP – elected James Quayson.

According to the information gathered, the elected MP had another Canadian citizenship before applying for nomination.

The NDC held their by-elections on 29 August 2020, when the elected MP did not deny his dual citizenship as Ghanaian and Canadian.

The management approved his candidacy and allowed him to stand as a parliamentary candidate on the party’s ticket.

In October, however, the elected MP renounced his dual citizenship process and received a certificate on November 26, 2020, ten days until the December general election.

The High Court on the Cape Coast has currently ordered the inauguration of the MP voters after a petition was filled out.
