Nigeria records 1544 new cases on January 8

The NCDC announced that on Wednesday, January 8, 2021, Nigeria recorded 1544 new cases of the coronavirus.

From the data, Lagos State recorded the highest of the day with 739, followed by Plateau State with 168 new cases.

Nigeria now has 97,478 confirmed cases and a total of 78,552 patients have been discharged. Meanwhile, 1342 patients died from the coronavirus.
