Popular publisher Dele Momodu and presidential assistant Lauretta Onochie took to Twitter on January 8 after Lauretta made a comment about Dele Momodu.
It all started when Momodu reacted to the Federal Government’s decision to borrow money from dormant accounts in Nigerian banks.
A Twitter user left a comment saying Momodu should not feel bad for joining others to bring President Buhari to power in 2015.
Dele Momodu responded to the comments, saying that when President Buhari failed, he switched to supporting Atiku.
‘I did not bring Buhari. I did what the most reasonable Democrats would have done in the circumstance of the failure of PDP after 16 years in power by trying the next eligible candidate and when he failed the next try, Atiku, and that is the essence and risk and mistake in Democracy !! “Did he tweet?”
Lauretta sees his comment and attacks him …
‘He’ failed ‘because he will not be handing out cash for photos that can be easily accessed on Instagram and other photo apps. #BabaNoDeyDrop. Because #BabaNoDeyDrop, your ego-massaging, conspicuous and dirty-wealth-showing customers, can no longer afford you. Try Diversification! “She tweeted
And Momodu answered …
‘My attention has just been drawn to a response to one of my tweets from an annoying lady named Lauretta, one of the scavengers who sow the government offices in Nigeria, who gets big official titles for decoration but actually has no access to their so-called . base.
Lauretta’s grouse is that I said I regarded the government of Buhari as a failure. Did I mention something new? From Arewa, to Igbo, to Yoruba groups, everyone expressed the same sentiments and what I would expect was a simple list of Buhari’s achievements, but she attacked my person.
She followed their usual way of cheap blackmail that ‘Buhari failed because he did not pay …’ our cash. Lauretta again chose a wrong customer. When a child buys a pair of shoes for his father with one leg, he should be ready to hear true stories. I’m not a governor !!
Since she has never done business in her life, she assumes that we are all scavengers: 1. Your boss Buhari was my colleague in 2011 when we were both presidential candidates. 2. I spent my hard earned money on Buhari’s campaign without asking for anything. Pls, where were you?
I told President Buhari in 2015 that I would regularly write my opinion about him as I did to President Jonathan and he said why not. Who is Lauretta then who says I can not express myself freely? I know that your third class job makes you important. Bashir Ahmad and Tolu Ogunlesi are in front
Lauretta advised me to diversify. You were probably looking for appointments when I expanded to PR, television, social media, etc. If you had a case, the National Assembly would not be ashamed of you! Let me stop here for now … I have your time. ‘
Onochie has yet to respond.
