Akotowaa Matilda is a stitcher (Oye adie yie) with Teshie and tells SVTV Africa how her husband went to live with a married woman.
According to Matilda’s story, he proposed marriage and was traditionally married in a few months. After a few months they had a child.

After two years of marriage, he began verbally and physically abusing her. Without knowing that he had met another woman, Matilda soon divorced and also left his newborn behind.
My baby was about a year and a half old. He didn’t care about her. I had to go back to my village. Years later my daughter wanted to live with his father, so I took her to his house, but the abuse was too much.
My daughter cried when I visited her. I went for her later. She has now graduated from JHS and is staying in our village hoping to continue her education, ”said Matilda.
Matilda currently has no shelter and needs our help to find shelter. Plus, she would appreciate a shop to do her business with.
